LAS VEGAS – SPRINGDALE – BRYCE CANYON – MOAB – GLENWOOD SPRINGS – DENVER

ITINERARY 8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

DAY 1 ARRIVE IN LAS VEGAS, NV LAS VEGAS: The Mirage Hotel Arrive at the Las Vegas airport and be transferred to your hotel. Therest of the day is free to explore and enjoy all that Las Vegas has to offer on your own.

DAY 2 ZION NATIONAL PARK TOUR SPRINGDALE, UT: Springhill Suites Hotel After a leisurely morning, travel across the Nevada Desert and enjoy lunch at the beautiful Cliffside restaurant in St. George. Take a scenic ride to see Utah’s oldest and most famous national park, Zion National Park. Experience massive 2,000-foot high formations and towers, the Mt. Carmel Tunnel, Zion Canyon, and the Virgin River. Later in the afternoon, arrive in the town of Springdale. Explore the town at leisure after dinner at a local restaurant. (L, D)

DAY 3 BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK TOURBRYCE, UT: Best Western Ruby's Inn Return to Zion National Park this morning as you travel along the Mount Carmel Highway through the Zion Tunnel. Next, tour Bryce Canyon National Park, home to the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. The vibrant colors and unearthly shapes of Bryce Canyon spark the imagination of both young and old. Lunch will be on your own today. This evening, join the group for some wonderful western food and entertainment at Ebenezer’s Barn and Grill, followed by a private Stargazing Experience with local astronomers. Bryce Canyon is designated as a Dark Skies Reserve and is one of the best places to stargaze in the U.S. (B, D)

DAY 4 CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK TOURMOAB, UT: Element Hotel. Return to Bryce Canyon National Park for a morning view. Next, enjoy a drive on one of America’s most spectacular roads—Scenic Highway 12. Travel through Grand Staircase—Escalante National Monument with vast expanses of cream- and rose-colored Navajo sandstone before arriving at Capitol Reef National Park for touring and a picnic lunch under old growth cottonwood trees. The park features petroglyphs, beautiful rock formations, deep canyons and pioneer history. This evening is free to explore Moab and have dinner on your own after check-in at the hotel. (B, L)

DAY 5 ARCHES NATIONAL PARK TOUR MOAB, UT: Element Moab Hotel Tour the highlights of Arches National Park. The unique geology of the area created the highest concentration of natural arches in the world with over 2,000 named arches within the park boundary. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore Moab and have lunch on your own. In the afternoon, join the group for a Jet Boat Ride on the mighty Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons and learn about the river’s ecosystem, geology and history. Enjoy dinner with a million-dollar view at the Sunset Grill. (B, D)

DAY 6 MOAB TO GLENWOOD SPRINGS (SILVERLEAF)GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO: Hotel TBD This morning transfer to Canyonlands National Park to visit the Island in the Sky District, including the Mesa Arch and Grandview Point. Next, take a scenic drive to Dead Horse Point State Park for a picnic lunch. From the park, you will see the expanse of Canyonlands National Park stretching to the south, and the mighty Colorado River 2,000 feet below. In the afternoon, board the Rocky Mountaineer train. Cross the Utah-Colorado border with stunning mountain views in the background before arriving in the resort town of Glenwood Springs. Today’s dinner* will be served on the train. DAY 7 GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO DENVER (SILVERLEAF)DENVER, CO: The Rally Hotel Depart Glenwood Springs and continue your journey onboardRocky Mountaineer. Cross the Continental Divide as you take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before arriving in the vibrant city of Denver. Breakfast* and lunch* will be served on the train. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time to explore Denver on your own this evening.
